The 2001 Roadless Rule locked up 58.5 million acres of National Forest land, blocking road maintenance, wildfire mitigation, and reasonable access for 25 years. BRC supports H.R. 7695 and S. 140, two bills that would repeal the rule and return management decisions to local forest managers. Contact your members of Congress and ask them to support both bills.

Executive orders dating back to 1972 created the “minimization criteria” that agencies now use to justify closing OHV access across public lands. What started as a balancing tool has become a legal weapon for litigation groups to lock riders out and collect legal fees. Sign the petition and tell Congress to rescind these orders.
A Nevada land bill would hand thousands of acres of public land to county and state control while locking another 12,392 acres as Wilderness, closing it to motorized use forever. E-bikes are a vital access tool for older riders, people with physical limitations, and families with young children who want to recreate together. BLM Colorado River Valley Field Office is seeking public comment to allow Class 1 e-bikes to access designated MTB trails across most of the field office.
