PROTECTING LANDS FOR THE PUBLIC, NOT FROM THE PUBLIC
WE BELONG HERE
We belong here. On our public lands. Since 1987, the BlueRibbon Coalition has fought to preserve recreation access to America’s lands. Serving members in all 50 states, BRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit driven by grassroots energy. We work across all motorized recreation sectors—4×4, ATV, dirt bike, snowmobiling, UTV, watercraft, e‑biking, and more—to ensure every adventure is possible. But we can’t do it alone.
WHAT WE DO
Litigation. Advocacy. Awareness.
Legal Center
We file and advance lawsuits that protect your right to access public lands. We’re one of the only land organizations that have fought all the way to the Supreme Court.
Policy Advocacy
We represent motorized recreationists in rulemaking, planning processes, and legislation to make sure recreation is treated as an equal use on public lands.
Grassroots Action
We rally communities to submit comments, file petitions, attend hearings, and make their voices heard on the proposals that affect their access to public lands.

TOP PRIORITIES 2026
The Grand Reopening of Our Public Lands
2025 marked a turning point. We pushed back on the 30×30 initiative and realized major wins. Rules like the USFS Roadless Rule and the BLM Public Lands Rule were proposed to be rescinded. The BLM is proposing to substantially reopen the 100s of miles of trails that were closed in Moab. The Administration is signaling that it will reduce or rescind abusive National Monument designations. Important, pro-access legislation like the Outdoor Americans with Disabilities Act was reintroduced in the U.S. Senate. In 2026, we keep the momentum going:

Join Our Growing Member Community
Donations help fund the work.
Memberships make the case & build a movement.
Membership means more than just financial support. It means a larger, organized community that agencies, lawmakers and courts can’t ignore.
Recent Supreme Court decisions have reinforced an important reality: courts often limit who can challenge government actions and who can benefit from court orders— limitations that are often determined by an organization’s members. Join Now »
Why Being a Member Matters:
- Membership strengthens legal action. The more members affected, the stronger the case to defend access. More members = Better standings.
- Representation. Being a member helps ensure your interests are represented when legal action is needed.
- Members are covered by court orders. When organizations go to court, relief often applies only to the members they represent.
All donations and dues help:
- Investigate and research public land policies
- Fund lawsuits and legal defense
- Ensure strong representation in rule-making and planning
- Rally grassroots action and cultivate advocates
- Expand trails, dispersed camping, and overall access to public lands

When motorized access is removed without considering accessibility, entire communities lose the ability to experience public lands they own just as much as anyone else. This sweepstakes helps fund BlueRibbon Coalition’s work to ensure public-land management recognizes that responsible motorized access is often the only form of access for people with disabilities, injuries, age-related limitations, or other mobility challenges.
