BRC Announces Update to Membership Program

Mar 1, 2022

Why you should submit here, even if you already have elsewhere!

We keep them honest. If everyone only comments through the government/agency site, we have to take their word on how many comments were received. By submitting through BRC, we create an independent record of our community’s response that can’t be buried or under-reported.

We protect your voice. If this fight ends up in court, having our own record of submitted comments means we don’t have to wait a year or more for a government agency to turn over documents. We can move quickly with proof that thousands of you spoke up.
We keep you in the loop. When you comment through our site, we can send you updates on what comes next. If you only use the government/agency site, you’re depending on them to tell you what happens next — and they won’t.

Double coverage matters. Even if you’ve already commented through the government/agency site, submitting through ours makes your voice count twice — once in their system, and once in ours. That way they know the OHV community is watching and tracking every move.

For years, BRC has been trusted to run action alerts like this. Thousands of members and supporters have used this system effectively to defend access to public lands. This isn’t about collecting your info — it’s about building the strongest, most transparent record possible to hold agencies accountable.

RELEASE – Today BlueRibbon Coalition announced a change in its individual membership plans. Starting February 9, 2022 there will be two annual membership levels. The Basic Membership will be $25 a year and will include a digital subscription to BRC updates and alerts, so that members can stay informed and engaged on ways they can advocate for continued access to their outdoor recreation adventures. Basic Memberships will also include a BRC sticker, membership card, and voting rights to elect members of the BRC Board during the annual Membership Meeting held every fall.

The price for a Premium Membership will change from $35 to $50 a year. We will be eliminating the two year Premium Membership at the $70 level. The Premium Membership will include everything that comes with a Basic Membership, and it will also include promotional offers from several of our supporting businesses including a $25 e-gift card from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, 20% off OnX OffRoad, and a 10% promotional code for Gorilla Offroad. This change in membership levels will simplify our membership offerings and make it easier to administer the membership program. Overall we want to encourage growth in our membership program, because it is our strong membership base that increases our standing with land management agencies. Our members provide a strong fundraising foundation for our work. It is also our members that amplify our voice when we fight to protect your outdoor recreation experiences.

We are also introducing a new $5/month subscription membership. All subscription memberships will default to a premium membership and include all premium member benefits after 10 months.

While we hope this minor change in our membership program is a smooth transition for everyone, we are sensitive to the expectations of so many of our legacy members who have been supporting us for years. If you have questions about how this change will affect your membership, please contact our team.

Appreciate What We Do?

It takes a team of people to investigate, review, advocate and litigate in order to protect your rights to public lands. Please consider donating today so we can defend your ground.
