BLUERIBBON COALITION / CAREERS
Multimedia Content Producer
Full-Time | Fully Remote (U.S.) | $55,000–$60,000
Multimedia Content Producer
This is an early-career role built for someone hungry to own a highly visible function and build a strong, varied portfolio fast. If you're the right fit and the role performs the way we expect, we intend for its scope and compensation to grow with you.
About BlueRibbon Coalition
BlueRibbon Coalition is a national nonprofit fighting to keep public lands and trails open for motorized recreation. Off-roaders, dirt bikers, snowmobilers, side-by-side riders, and 4x4 families count on us to defend their access when agencies and courtrooms threaten to shut the gates.
We work at the intersection of litigation, legislative advocacy, and administrative rulemaking. We produce a constant stream of newsworthy material: litigation wins, policy fights, action alerts, testimony, and on-the-ground advocacy. Your job is to get it in front of people, every day, in whatever format the story calls for.
We are a small, fast-moving team. Everyone here owns real work and sees the direct impact of what they produce. If you want to push pixels for a committee, this is not the place. If you want to create things that make a real difference in people’s lives, keep reading.
The Role
This is a production role, not a strategy role. Our Executive Director and Marketing/Communications Director set direction and voice. You are the engine that turns that direction into published, distributed content, fast and consistently. You'll move across video, graphic design, writing, email, and community, and you'll build the systems that keep all of it running like clockwork. Our problem isn't a shortage of content. It’s getting it distributed to the right audience on time.
Why This Role Matters
Most content jobs are about selling something. This one is about keeping public lands open. The reels you cut, the graphics you design, and the alerts you send move real people to act on real fights that decide whether a trail stays open or gets gated.
- Your work has stakes. The messaging creates the action to keep public lands open.
- You're at the front of the story. We're usually deep in a litigation or rulemaking fight before it reaches the news. You're not repackaging headlines, you're breaking them to the community that cares most.
- You're building for a real, passionate audience. Off-roaders are loyal and vocal. Your work lands with actual people who use these lands, and they'll tell you what's working.
- Real ownership. Run with video, design, writing, and community across a national brand, not one narrow slice. Few early-career roles let you build a portfolio this broad this fast.
What You'll Own
Video production and publishing
- Edit and cross-publish short-form video and reels on a consistent daily cadence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube. Not just uploading, but editing: captions, cuts, pacing, hooks.
- Draw on a deep library of existing footage and finished clips, plus new material coming in constantly.
- Use editing tools (for example CapCut, Instagram Edits, Adobe) to keep daily output sustainable for one person.
- Build simple, documented workflows so the operation runs like a system, not off one person's memory.
Graphic design
- Design social graphics, action alert visuals, and web imagery that hold to our brand across every channel— social, web & email.
- Turn dense written material (fact sheets, testimony, data) into clear, shareable formats: infographics, quote cards, carousels.
- Use design tools (for example Canva, Adobe) to move fast without sacrificing consistency.
Content pipeline and publishing
- Edit article/blog posts & optimize for web, SEO & AI discoverability.
- Format and publish in WordPress on brand and on voice, without design back-and-forth.
- Repurpose content, assemble, format, and send email newsletters and action alerts.
Community management
- Monitor and respond to comments across our social channels.
- Answer direct messages and route them to the right person on the team.
- Engage our community and keep the conversation active.
- Flag hostile, sensitive, or problematic activity.
Coordination
- Own the social content calendar and scheduling across platforms
- Pull social numbers into monthly reports
What Makes a Successful Candidate
- You can take a messy and complicated source document and turn it into five different pieces of content.
- You think in systems and pipelines, not one-off posts.
- You're comfortable being measured on consistent, high-volume output.
- You’re ok with changing priorities day-to-day.
- You can take direction and critique, but you’re also self-directed and resourceful.
- You have good project & priority management.
- You pride yourself on attention to details.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in marketing, content, design, or an agency setting.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading, with the ability to shift tone across audiences.
- A portfolio showing writing, graphic design, and video work you produced and shipped.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (other creative software accepted).
- Short-form video editing skills (reels, social clips).
- Familiarity with AI. You know how to use it to enhance your work, but don’t rely on it.
- Experience with project management programs.
- Digital native. Proficient with digital apps & softwares. If you don’t know a program, you’re willing to learn it.
- Familiarity with office programs (GSuite, MS Office, or Apple Work)
- Experience managing a brand or organization's social community: responding to comments and messages, engaging followers, and handling sensitive situations with good judgment.
- Self-direction. Remote means we trust you to ship without someone standing over your shoulder.
- Interest in motorized vehicles and/or public land access.
- Availability 40 hours per week. This is a full-time position.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience, with growth potential as the role and its impact scale.
- Fully remote, work from anywhere in the U.S.
- Flexible work schedule, within reason.
- 401(k) with employer match.
We want to be upfront: we do not currently offer health insurance. What we offer instead is flexibility, a mission that matters, a retirement match, and a role where you own meaningful output and watch it drive results.
